Volcán was a record label led by the prestigious producer and composer Antonio Gutierrez Cateriano and founded in the early 1970s. With a vast catalog focused on vernacular and tropical music, Gutierrez Cateriano consistently advocated for decentralizing Peruvian music by managing the "Collasuyo" radio station, making it the most powerful and significant record label outside of Lima.
