Discos Horóscopo

Founded by businessman and dreamy music lover, Juan Campos Muñoz, Horoscopo was a company on the fringes of the official Peruvian music industry in the 80s, a hard decade where the wildest neoliberalism and the most extreme Maoist revolt began simultaneously. Campos Muñoz led, with his chicha music business, a popular capitalism that allowed the symbolical and economical emergence of a new social class composed mostly of migrants, “landless peasants” and “proletarians without factories ”; that is to say, informal workers, street workers and jack-of-all-trades that rise from the most extreme needs.
